Project Description:

Initial topographic survey and Civil 3D data processing of 78km of road from Port Alberni to Bamfield. This pre-design survey is a critical part of the long-awaited road rehabilitation work required due to numerous accidents, road failures and road safety.

Many stakeholders have interests in this project including Huu-ay-aht First Nations, multiple logging companies and the provincial government. 3D hires Huu-ay-aht First Nations band members interested in learning survey practices to assist with field work. To expedite the survey work, 3D utilizes up to six survey crews at a time.
